January 2019: off to a good start
It’s time again for the monthly update with the results of my crowdfunding investments.
Portfolio january 2019
Last month I received interest payments totalling € 859.88 which is a new record, even without the double payout of Funding Circle. My average return rate is now up to an amazing 10.8%, the details can be found in the table below.

Platform updates

Bondora
Bondora is stable at the advertised return rate of 6.75% and € 33,65 of received interest, so not amongst the platforms with the highest returns. However, the ease of use and the fact that you can withdraw your funds at any moment make this platform look like a savings account on steroids. A perfect introduction into the world of crowdfunding.
Tip: register through this link and you’ll receive a 5 euro bonus. Just give their Go & Grow option a try for a few months and you’ll see the stable stream of income.

Crowdestate
Crowdestate seems to underperform with a return rate of 1.2% and received interest of € 5,76 but next month should be different. In february I wil receive the first quarterly interest payment of my largest investment. That should make a world of difference!

Crowdestor
Last wednesday a new project was announced at Crowdestor. The interest rate of 19.5% was too good to pass, so I deposited an extra €2,500. This doubled the account value, but is not yet reflected in the received interest (€28.53). The average rate of return is not skewed by this, and is now 10.5%.

Envestio
This month I received a whopping € 244.39 of interest at Envestio. A new record! The average return rate is now 20,0%. Most new projects have ‘lower’ interest rates of 16-17% so I expect the return rate to drop a little over the next months.
When you register via this link you’ll receive a 5 euro bonus with your first deposit, plus a bonus of 0.5% over all your investments in the first 270 days.

EstateGuru
I received € 22.61 in interest at EstateGuru, and the average return rate is now 6.3%.
One of the borrowers is late with the payments, and EstateGuru has contacted them. The update on the site indicates they’re working on it:

Fast Invest
My interest income at Fast Invest was € 119.08 this month, one of the best performances. The average return rate is now 13.0%.

Funding Circle
My investments via the Dutch Funding Circle site returned € 98.35 this month, and the average return rate is 7.9%.
The december payment was late, I received it on january 2nd. This explains the drop in the graph below, and the peak with the double payments.

Grupeer
On january 2nd I deposited the €1,000 in Grupeer that I withdrew from Lender & Spender. That platform has a return rate of just 4%, while Grupeer is one of the best performing platforms (13%).
Two days later I received confirmation of the received funds, and when I checked it was already invested automatically in projects with a 14% interest rate. All projects have BuyBack guarantee: if a borrower is 60 days late the invested funds are returned.
My Grupeer portfolio returned €96.22 this month.

IUVO Group
My investments at IUVO Group returned €107,37 and the average return rate is now 12.9%.
I adjusted the auto-invest function and set the maximum terms at 40. A lot of loans use weekly terms instead of paying interest monthly, and so a lot of interesting loans were not invested in.
IUVO Group really grew last year:

Lender & Spender
Lender & Spender is a Dutch platform, with a return rate that is nothing to get excited about. Last I received €9.92 interest and the return rate is now 3.7%.
I decided to withdraw €1,000 and invest this in a better performing platform (Grupeer). The platform charged 1% withdrawal costs, but I expect that to be compensated by the higher interest rates very soon.

Mintos
My Mintos portfolio returned €50.09, the averate return rate is now 8.3%.
Mintos also showed a lot of growth last year. There are now over 100,000 investors and the total amount of loans has surpassed 1.5 billion euros. This makes it one of the largest crowdfunding platforms in Europe.

Twino
My investments at Twino resulted in €43.91 in interest. The average rate of return is 9.1%.
